Health Care Access

Under the Affordable Care Act, each individual must have minimum essential health coverage for each month in order to avoid the penalty for not having insurance.

Wisconsin has many programs within BadgerCare to assist individuals and families to pay for health care.  To check eligibility and/or to apply, check out the ACCESS webpage.  The East Central IM Partnership is also available to apply or ask questions: 1-888-256-4563

If you don't qualify for BadgerCare, Health insurance can be purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace or by calling 1-800-318-2596 or TTY: 1-855-889-4325.

Family Planning Only Services and the Wisconsin Well Women Program are limited health insurance plans that are available for eligible individuals however; the plans do NOT meet the minimum essential health care coverage standard under the Affordable Care Act.
