The Manitowoc County Planning and Park Commission maintains a total of five major parks, four special purpose parks,
15 lake/river accesses and 1 recreational trail throughout the County. These parks serve an immediate function between
highly developed municipal parks and state and national forest and reserves. The lake accesses provide the general
public with access to the lakes and rivers for fishing and boating. The recreation trail provides a nature enriched
trail to safely run, walk, bicycle, and snowmobile.
