Parks/Lake Access/Recreation Trail
The Manitowoc County Planning and Park Commission maintains a total of five major parks, four special purpose parks, 15 lake/river accesses and 1 recreational trail throughout the County. These parks serve an immediate function between highly developed municipal parks and state and national forest and reserves. The lake accesses provide the general public with access to the lakes and rivers for fishing and boating. The recreation trail provides a nature enriched trail to safely run, walk, bicycle, and snowmobile.

Park Season Dates: April 1 to October 31
Park Hours: 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. (Cherney Maribel Caves and Walla Hi closes at 8 P.M.)

PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • The removal of any trees, shrubs, plants, or other natural growth is prohibited.
  • Hunting is prohibited in all County Parks.
  • The discarding of any refuse such as garbage, sewage, trash or other waste material in a manner other than in receptacles provided for such purposes is prohibited.
  • No person may dispose of waste material generated off-site in a County Park.
  • Camping is prohibited in all County Parks.
  • Dogs remaining on a leash are permitted in County Parks. All animal waste must be collected and removed.
