Farmland Preservation/Working Lands Initiative

The Farmland Preservation Program is designed to promote farmland conservation practices by providing tax credits to farmers who maintain a robust conservation plan and meet zoning and state conservation standards. All towns in Manitowoc County, with the exception of Schleswig, are participating in exclusive agriculture zoning and are eligible for Farmland Preservation Plan tax credit.  If you are interested in participating in the program, or have any questions regarding the program, please contact Tony Smith at (920) 683-4888.
