Comfort Café...for those with Memory Loss
Held every 3rd Wednesday of every month from 2:30 - 4:00 PM at Amy's Coffee House, 406 Milwaukee St in Kewaunee.
Memory Cafés welcome those experiencing early stage Dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, amaraderie, and lots of creative fun! Living Well Workshop – 6 week class (2 ½ hours per week)
Designed to improve the self-management skills of those living with chronic health issues. People with various health conditions attend together to learn from and provide support to each other. Alzheimer’s Monthly Family Caregiver Support Groups - 1 hour support groups
1. For Caregivers only, the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Lakeshore - 1701 Michigan Avenue, Manitowoc . This is a drop in group. (Reservation not needed)
2. Early Stage Group – Caregiver and loved one (early stage only) attend in separate groups, every first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Lakeshore – 1701 Michigan Avenue. First time attendees must pre-register & complete phone assessment. Call 683-4180
Art therapy session for seniors dealing with the memory challenges of aging. Caregiver and loved one attend together. Held at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, 2021 S. Alverno Rd. the first and third Friday of each month. Call Barb at 683-4458 for more information.
Grief Support Group - Walk in group
Held the first Monday of every month from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Held at the Manitowoc Public Library, 707 Quay St in the Franklin Street Room. Contact Judy Janowski at 920-682-3589 for questions.
