December 1st is the earliest date that nomination papers can be taken out and/or
filed for the Spring Primary. Wis. Stats. §10.68.
First Tuesday in January -
5:00 p.m. is the deadline to file nomination papers for candidates running for office
in the Spring Election. Wis. Stats. §8.10.
Third Tuesday in February is the day of the Spring Primary Election, if required.
The 1st Tuesday in April is the day of the Spring General Election. Wis. Stats.
§10.66.
June 1st is the earliest day nomination papers may be circulated for the September
Primary (even numbered years), (includes independents). Wis. Stats. §10.78.
2nd Tuesday in July - 5:00 p.m. is the deadline for filing nomination papers
(includes independents). Wis. Stats. §10.78.
2nd Tuesday in September is
the day for the Fall Primary Election. Wis. Stats. §10.74.
The Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November is the day of the General Election.
